WHY CHRIS?
Chris was chosen by the City Council and the Mayor of Rochester to Chair the City’s Preservation Board, whose mission is to review applications for Certificates of Appropriateness required for alterations to landmarks and properties located in the City’s eight preservation districts and develop and adopt preservation guidelines. Chris also serves as a Trustee on the Board of The Landmark Society of Western New York and on the Awards Jury for The Community Design Center of Rochester in choosing the winners of the Annual Reshaping Rochester Awards. Additionally, in support of the preservation and evolution of Rochester, Chris restored a 1905 center entrance Colonial located in the City’s Park Avenue District. The home, which received an award of merit from the Landmark Society of Western New York and was featured in Old House Journal magazine, was also showcased on HGTV’s Restore America TV series.
